Your account
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You must be legally able to accept these terms or have authorization from a parent or guardian.
Your content and permission
You keep ownership of content you import. You give Speaks the limited permission needed to store, extract, synchronize, and generate audio from that content to provide features you request. You are responsible for having the rights to use the documents, images, text, and webpages you submit and for respecting copyright, privacy, access controls, and website terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use Speaks for unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity. Do not probe or bypass security, interfere with the service, automate excessive requests, redistribute premium voice output where prohibited, upload malware, or attempt to access another person's account or content.
Subscriptions and trials
Optional premium subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google at the price and billing period shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your store account before the renewal deadline shown by the store. A trial converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before it ends. Deleting your Speaks account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it separately in Apple or Google subscription settings. Refunds are handled under the applicable store rules.
Service changes and availability
Speaks may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features. Playback, extraction, synchronization, and premium voices can depend on your connection, device platform, usage limits, and third-party providers. Temporary interruptions may occur, and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
Account action
Speaks may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address unlawful or abusive activity, enforce these terms, or comply with legal obligations. You may stop using Speaks at any time and can permanently delete your account in the app.
Disclaimers and responsibility
Speaks is a listening and productivity tool, not professional medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without implied warranties, and Speaks is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by service interruption, third-party services, or content you choose to process. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
